Buggy as hell.

Game was fun, but I have a long list of complaints. None of the power-ups worked, the controls were very difficult to get used to (especially the wall jumping) and I got real tired of getting stuck in walls, randomly teleporting through the level, and falling to my death when there weren't any pits around to fall into. Also, the gun was super underpowered, I realize the sword is supposed to be strong, and the gun has infinite ammo to compensate, but still, there are some monsters that you don't want to get close to, but can't kill with the gun. Spend some time fixing the bugs and getting the power-ups to actually power you up, and this would be a very decent game.

Highly Entertaining

The gameplay was a little less challenging than I usually like, specifically money was way too easy to get, but I enjoyed playing this game very much. I stuck with it until I had all achievements completed which is unusual for me. The mindless violence in this game kept my attention far longer than most games do. Thank you for making this game!

Interesting game

My only complaint is the difficulty of the controls, beyond that it was a whole lot of levels of bloodshed and gore. I loved the two Newgrounds themed bosses, they really gave the game an an added edge. The game began getting repetetive after a while but it was still interesting enough for me to keep going to the end. Great work, thank you for the awesome game.

That was amazing.

If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you jump too? No, but if my multiple personalities did I'd give it some serious consideration. That last level was a lot of fun and the most challenging for me. I overanalyzed it a lot until I figured out a gnat swarm technique would be most effective. Each level was entertaining, challenging, but ultimately achievable. I enjoyed this game more than I have enjoyed any game on Newgrounds in a very long time. The story was interesting and convoluted, wich matched the gameplay well. I like how the rules of the game seemed to change in each level without altering the gameplay dramaticaly. Overall well thought out, graphically beautiful game with great background music that complimented the theme and didn't make me want to mute the game. Great Job all around.

Worth a chuckle.

I really think more people should do this sort of thing. Good reminder of the old days.

Demo = fail.

Game was great, but after 2 levels I have to say it wasn't good enough to pay for.

Awesome game.

This is one of the best games I have ever played on newgrounds. At first I thought the controls were very simple, I mean 4 buttons control everything and only one attack. As I went along I found that there was a lot you could do with just four buttons. The complexity of the puzzels and how you solve them is quite remarkable for a game that has such a simplistic feel to it. The farther along I got, the more intriguing the game became. There were a lot of abilities and combos to discover even in the later stages of the game. I liked the fact that there were new abilities to discover that you kinda had all along. It gave the game some great replay value. I've already spent about 2 hours on this and I'm sure I'll be spending a few more. Great amount of content for a Flash game. Game also looked great the whole way through, and the music was good enough that I didn't feel the need to mute it (to me that means it was some great sound). Thanks for this awesome submission.

P.S. I had ice cream for breakfast. Cookies and Cream FTW.

It was alright.

I like the difficulty level, very challenging. Although I probably would have been more entertained if I could get more right before bombing out. I played for about 10 mins, highest score 9,900 (mostly by accident, triggered the end game early and just spun the wheel a few times for relatively big money). Found two questions with answers I didn't like. First question was something to the effect of: "What was the full title of the first Harry Potter book." listed as philosopher's stone. I think you've got Harry Potter confused with Full Metal Alchemist. It's Sorcerer's stone. I barely follow the books and found that to be quite a glaring misprint. Other one "What event gives the superheroes from "Heroes" thier powers (Once again paraphrasing here, didn't write the exact questions down). I'll give you a hint, it's not a solar eclipse like the question wanted. Genetic Mutations would have been a much more acceptable answer. I used to follow Heroes pretty closely and I don't remember it ever saying that a solar eclipse was the source of thier powers. I could be wrong there, but I don't think so. I probably played 6 times and came across two bad questions. I also got 2 repeats in that short amount of time, that just killed the game for me entirely. On the plus side, the questions were quite varied and ranged in difficulty from super easy to 'let's pray to the god of averages that the button I hit is the correct answer'. My only real complaint is the bad questions, spend some more time proofreading and doublechecking and this would be a great quiz game.
Also, while I'm on the subject of proofreading, when it comes up as one question in a category, it reads "both questions in this round are worth . . ." should be fixed to say "The question in this round is worth . . ."
One last thing, I'm sure you've gotten this a lot, but please add a mute button, Music was interesting for the first minute but got annoying fast. I probably would have played longer if I could have just muted it and played my own music in the background.
*Whew* that's all I've got to say. Decent game, somewhere well above mediocre, but a step or two below fantastic. Of course, I'm always hard on quiz games because they usually make me feel dumb. *shrug*

Here's my take on it.

People are rioting, and you have the power to persuade them to change sides. Then once everyone has changed sides and follows you, there is no one left to change, so you change again yourself and start over. Eventually you change sides yourself so many times that you become gray, a force that neither side will listen to. By overusing your power of persuasion you become powerless. Kind of a 'boy who cried wolf' cenario. I like that there is no reason given as to why people are rioting, or why you are inciting them to change sides. People don't need a reason. I like games that make you think, even if there doesn't seem to be any point other than to keep you guessing. Overall this is a good game. Not much replay value, but very unique. I enjoyed playing, thank you for making it.

good game but . . .

It just felt like a repackaged Zelda game. Same Weapons, same story line, very similar graphics, same money, you even get money the same way. "Inspired by Zelda" is one thing, but this is just a blatant rip off. The game is actually quite enjoyable, but there was no originality anywhere. I was hoping for some kind of new and exciting weapon or some plot twist that wasn't done in Zelda. I would have settled for a new kind of Enemy. I just needed something new for this to be interesting. This game was fun because Zelda was fun, but this is just another Zelda Clone.
Oh, and what's the point of getting money in the game if there is nothing to spend it on? I guess I could have bought a bunch of bombs, but I already had Fifty more of those than I needed just from playing the game.

Note: to those of you who are complaining about dissapearing potions, I thought I was having the same problem until I realized there are actually two types of potions. There is a small one that restores 1/2 of a heart when picked up and a larger one that actually goes into your inventory and can be used to restore you to full health.

UknownXL responds:

Where has a zelda game had link train to become the guardian? Im sorry but I dont see plot similarities.

I enjoy poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.
